CARY, N.C. — A Cary woman was injured Tuesday when she accidentally drove her car off a ledge at the Wake County West Regional Library, 4000 Louis Stephens Drive.

A witness said Pat Young hit a curb, suddenly accelerated and went over the edge of the parking lot, a plunge of about 15 feet. She was alone in the car.

Young was taken to Duke Hospital, where she was expected to make a full recovery, according to Susan Moran, spokeswoman for the Town of Cary.
