A woman in Texas is being honored for her brave act over the summer when she jumped into a pond to save a toddler who was drowning.

Brandi Rowntree helped save Carlos Jr., who made a full recovery. The hectic rescue was caught on camera by the North Richland Hills Police Department as Rowntree and another officer give the boy CPR.

Rowntree said she heard the child's relative cry out for help.

"She goes, 'I don't know how to swim.' So no questions asked, boom. Off. Shoes off in the water going for it," Rowntree told KXAS.

A dispatcher and two other officers were also honored with a lifesaving award.
