RALEIGH, N.C. — NC State University police are looking for a suspect they said was involved in an armed robbery Tuesday night.

Police said a vehicle was taken as a woman was held at gunpoint in the parking lot of Wolf Village Apartments near Gorman Street. Officials said the suspect is described as a black woman standing 5-foot-4 and weighing 180 pounds. She was wearing a black jacket and black pants.

The vehicle that was taken, a red 2008 Jeep Liberty with the NC license plate TAM-4183, was last seen on Gorman Street heading toward Western Boulevard.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the NC State University Police Department at 919-515-3000.

It's the second time a robbery has been reported on campus this week. On Monday night, campus police said a man was robbed at the Harris Hall parking lot on Thurman Drive, less than a mile away from Tuesday's incident.

That robbery suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet and 3 or 4 inches tall, wearing a black beanie and dark clothes. Authorities believe he is in his 30s or 40s.

No weapon was used in Monday's incident.
