Just after noon, police in Wake Forest say they received a phone call about a shooting at 103 N. White Street at the BP gas station. However, when officers arrived, they were not able to find a victim. They began investigating to determine whether or not a shooting had happened.

Around an hour-and-a-half later, Wake Forest police received a call from Youngsville police saying they'd found the body of a deceased individual in a parked car.

According to Youngsville police Hartsfield arrived at their department to report a woman dead inside his vehicle, parked just outside. Police paperwork confirms Beckwith as the victim.

Officials confirmed the two incidents are related.

Multiple agencies are responding in addition to Youngsville police – including Wake Forest and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

The road isn't closed, but the entrance to the police is blocked off – and has been since about 2 p.m.

The scene is directly across the street from Youngsville Elementary School. However, the Franklin County School District tells WRAL News the incident did not impact their dismissal.
