Sheriff's office IDs woman found dead in Cumberland County
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office found Ashlee Chambers' body along a rural area on Friday night, launching a death investigation.
Posted — UpdatedWADE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office found a body along a rural area on Friday night, launching a death investigation.
Deputies discovered a woman's body around 8:33 p.m. Friday on the 6000 block of River Road in Wade.
River Road was shutdown while authorities investigated.
On Monday, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as Ashlee Chambers, 35, of Fayetteville.
The circumstances behind what led to Chambers' death are unknown.
