Woman Dies After Speeding Vehicle Flips
A Johnston County woman died late Sunday in a single-vehicle accident near the McGee's Crossroads community, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedCLAYTON, N.C. — A Johnston County woman died late Sunday in a single-vehicle accident near the McGee's Crossroads community, authorities said.
Amber Berry, 20, was speeding shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle in the 3000 block of Sanders Road, authorities said. The vehicle flipped several times, and she was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol was a contributing factor in the wreck, authorities said.
