Woman charged with shoplifting $13K of merchandise

A Holly Springs man has been charged with stealing merchandise worth $13,000 from a Khol's store in Fuquay-Varina.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A Holly Springs woman has been charged with stealing merchandise worth $13,000, according to Fuquay-Varina police.

Neneh Hikunna, 39, was arrested at the Kohl's store in Fuquay-Varina and charged with larceny, police said. She was placed in the Wake County jail.

Police said that a subsequent search of Hikunna's home at 221 Quarryrock Road in Holly Springs found more stolen merchandise.

Additional charges are expected to be filed.
