Woman charged with DWI after SUV runs into garage of Cary townhouse

Nobody was hurt after an SUV ran into the garage of a townhouse in Cary on Wednesday.

CARY, N.C. — Nobody was hurt after an SUV ran into the garage of a townhouse in Cary on Wednesday.

Town of Cary officials said the crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. at 4034 Sykes Street in Cary. Officials said a man and a woman were in the vehicle. Two other people were in the home at the time of the crash. Officials were at the scene late Wednesday making sure the building was structurally sound enough to pull the vehicle from the building.

On Friday, WRAL's Rosalia Fodera reports Town of Cary officials said Alexis Hopkins, 25, of Cary, was charged with a DWI. She was taken to a local hospital for a blood test and stayed for treatment.
