RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman was arrested after police said she and a man wearing a Spider Man mask participated in a staged robbery of the hotel where she worked.

Lindsay Nichole Noble, 20, of 6626-L Lake Hill Drive, was charged with embezzling $1,200 and filing a false police report.

According to a search warrant released Wednesday, police seized cash, four envelopes containing money orders and a Spider Man mask from Noble's apartment. The warrant said Noble had Spider Man memorabilia posted on her apartment door.

Police responded to an armed robbery call Jan. 13 at the Best Western hotel at 3618 New Bern Ave. Once officers arrived, Noble told them that a man entered the hotel lobby, pointed a gun at her and motioned for her to give him money out of the cash register, the warrant states.

Noble told police that she then went straight to the hotel owner's room to report the robbery.

Police said Noble could be seen and heard talking on the phone in hotel surveillance footage. She said, "Alright, alright, hurry up," the warrant states.

About 30 seconds later, someone wearing a Spider Man mask and gloves entered the lobby. The suspect did not point anything at Noble or give her any directions, according to the warrant.

Noble handed the suspect money from the front desk cash drawer and then left the front desk without calling police.

The masked robber had not been identified Wednesday.
