MARIETTA, GA — A woman has been arrested after she drove up over the curb and fatally struck a pedestrian during a crash in November.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. on November 22 on Akers Mill Road near Cobb Parkway in Marietta.
Police say a vehicle being driven by 30 year-old Toni Hale ran off the road and hit 50 year-old Joseph Poncer. Her car continued on and hit two light poles before coming to a stop.
Police are blaming distracted driving as a cause.
Hale is facing charges of homicide by vehicle-first degree, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane.
