Woman airlifted after moving truck crashes on I-95 in Johnston County

A moving truck flipped over on Interstate 95 Saturday morning in Johnston County, causing backups near Selma.

SELMA, N.C. — A moving truck flipped over on Interstate 95 Saturday morning in Johnston County, causing backups near Selma.

The crash happened around 8:30 on I-95 North close to mile marker 100. The right lane of the interstate was closed two miles north of Exit 98 (Pine Level Selma Road).

One woman had to be extracted after getting pinned in the vehicle, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The woman, who was a passenger in the truck, was air-lifted to WakeMed Hospital, where she is in critical condition.
