Victor Solomon is making quite a name for himself on "The Voice."

His rhythmic performance of the Temptations classic hit "My Girl" propelled Solomon into the live shows, which begin May 10 on WRAL-TV.

Solomon admits that performance didn't start out pitch perfect.

"My first rehearsal, I was like, 'Ahh.' I just wasn't feeling it," he told WRAL News. "It wasn't the right arrangement."

Eventually, though, it all came together.

"After a while of practicing the song over and over again, that was the arrangement that I came up with, and after adding the dance moves, we got what we got on national television," he said.

Now that the judges have spoken and teams are set, the power is in the hands of the television audience. They get to decide which artists stick around in the live shows.

Solomon likes his chances on Team Legend.

"It's always been a dream to work with John Legend," he said. "He's not just a great artist, he's a great person and a great individual – what he stands for and believes in his values really speaks volumes."
