Raleigh, N.C. — The chilly, winter-like temperatures arriving mid-week and next weekend will feel completely different than this weekend's mild days.
According to WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel, Sunday and the beginning of the work week will feel mild, and, when in the sun, even warm at times.
Monday will be similarly mild and sunny, and Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid 60s.
Some showers are likely Tuesday night, when a cold front moves in, dropping highs into the 40s and lows into the 20s for the remainder of the week and the weekend.
"We've got a couple of more mild days to go before the transition to the much more wintery pattern," Fishel said.
Those chilly temperatures will last throughout the weekend and for most of mid-December, Fishel said.
