Some of the wineglasses that the chef and restaurateur Gunter Seeger has selected for Gunter Seeger NY, his elegant restaurant in New York's West Village, are showstoppers. The generous bowls curve upward as they meet the stem. Seeger said he selected them for their ability to aerate the wine and in some cases enhance its aroma, especially as with older reds in the larger glasses. There are also somewhat narrower styles in the line, which is made in Hungary for Zieher, a German company.
