Wine lovers have two events to choose from this Saturday.

Duplin Winery is hosting its first Main Squeeze Wine and Music Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect live beach music, vendors, including Bright Leaf hot dogs, food, beer and Duplin wines.

Bright Leaf is even hosting a hot dog eating competition, with the winner moving on to compete later this summer at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. There will also be a shag dance competition.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. A portion of ticket sales is going to Operation Homefront North Carolina, which assists military families with financial and other needs.

In addition, Duplin Winery is giving 2,000 free tickets to military service men and women.

Great Grapes! Wine, arts & food festival
A little closer to the Triangle, the Great Grapes Wine, Arts and Food Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. This casual wine tasting event offers hundreds of wines from more than 24 wineries. Stroll around and taste some, while learning about wine and food pairings.

People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on while enjoying live music on the main stage. There will also be a children's activity area.
