"Get outside, find something to do with the kids, as it is going to be lovely," said WRAL meteorologist Peta Sheerwood.

An approaching high pressure system will help temperatures warm up into the 60s by Sunday afternoon, leading into a warm week with highs in the 70s.

Our normal temperatures for this time of year is around 60 degrees, so these 70-degree temperatures will usher in an early taste of spring. Be sure to get outside and enjoy it!
