Raleigh, N.C. — A repair crew working on windows in the RBC Plaza in downtown Raleigh Friday accidentally broke a window in one of the upper floors, causing it to shatter and fall to the ground.
A spokeswoman with Highwoods Properties said the glass was designed to shatter and it did.
She added that because of the construction, the sidewalk below was closed to vehicle and foot traffic. The glass that fell hit the sidewalk, but no one was injured.
The workers were able to finish their repairs Friday afternoon.
