Wilson police arrest suspect in deadly shooting Friday afternoon on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson police arrested and charged a suspect in a deadly shooting on Friday.

Larry King, Jr., 48, of Wilson, is being held without bond on a murder charge.

Police responded to the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway after a caller said a person had been shot in their front yard. Officers arrived and found Brandyn O. Gorham, 30, of Wilson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, Gorham died at the scene.
