WILSON, N.C. — A physical education teacher at two Wilson elementary schools was arrested Thursday on charges of indecent exposure.

John Galeazzi, 38, of 2809 Hope Drive, Wilson, faces five counts, stemming from alleged incidents that happened between Sept. 5 and Sept. 11 in his neighborhood, police said,

According to Wilson County Schools spokeswoman Amber Whitley, Galeazzi works at both Lee Woodward Elementary and Barnes Elementary schools.

Whitley said the district learned of the allegations Friday and that it has launched an investigation.

"From what we understand of the allegations, they are not connected to students or Mr. Galeazzi's work in the schools," she said in a statement.

A neighbor of Galeazzi, who did not want to be identified, said Friday evening that he was surprised by the charges, saying he knew him as a good husband and father.
