Wilson Man Killed in Stabbing Attack

Police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of a Wilson man.

WILSON, N.C. — A Wilson man has died after being stabbed late Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call reporting a possible stabbing in the 21000 block of Stantonsburg Road. They found the victim, Calisto Garcia-Jiminez, 34, in a Queen Street residence.

Garcia-Jiminez later died from stab wounds at the Wilson Medical Center, officials said.

Patrol officers in the area of the original call apprehended Anthony Lee Geer, 39, of 2006 Worth Drive. Geer is charged with first-degree homicide and is being held without bond in the Wilson County Jail.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, officers said.
