Wilmington police are looking for a man accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend with a machete.

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Wilmington police are looking for a man accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend with a machete.

According to police, officers responded to break-in call at a home on Wrightsville Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Monday.

At the home, they found a 28-year-old woman suffering from life-threatening wounds. The woman told police her ex-boyfriend, Bailey Alexander White, 25, attacked her.

White, who is missing, is believed to be in a 2017 black Nissan with license plate PHZ-7073.

Anyone who sees him or the car is asked to call 911. All other information should be reported to the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3609 or through the Wilmington, NC PD app.

As of 6 a.m. on Monday, the victim was listed in serious but stable condition.
