Wilmington home inspector greeted by 8-foot-long alligator in attic

A home inspector in Wilmington found a live, eight-foot-long alligator in an attic.

At first he thought it was a stuffed gator, and he kept working.

Then he looked back and noticed it was moving.

Animal control officers were called in to remove the animal.

The inspector says the gator may have gotten in through a door that was left open over the weekend.
