FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Sheriff's deputies in Cumberland County on Tuesday charged a Fayetteville woman in connection with her husband's murder last month.

Lisa Marie Hunter, 30, became the second person charged in the death of Ronald L. Hunter, 41, of Wade. A railroad worker found his body off I-295 near Rich Walker Road on June 25.

Hunter was charged with being an accessory after the fact, deputies said. She was free on a $30,000 unsecured bond and was to appear in court on Thursday, officials said.

Travis Kinton, 19, turned himself in on July 1 and was charged with murder. Investigators said he was a friend of the Hunters.

The sheriff's office labeled Hunter's death a murder after an autopsy , but they have not disclosed the cause of death.
