BUFORD, GA. — Police have arrested a woman and another man in connection to the death of her husband, who was fatally shot at his home after returning from work in November of 2017.

George Young, 43, was shot at his home on the 3100 block of Montauk Hill Drive in Buford on November 17. Police say Young had just returned home from his job as a security officer.

Several family members inside the home heard gun shots and ran outside to see what was happening. George Young was then found collapsed on the front porch.

On Monday, Young's wife of 22 years, Tia Young, was arrested in connection to the shooting. Harvey Timothy Lee was also charged in Young's death. Both are facing charges of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.

The lead detective in the case found evidence suggesting that Tia and Tim were involved in an intimate relationship. All three had known each other from early adulthood and when Tim lost his job, George invited him to live at the home and also got him a job at the security company where George was employed.

The detective found numerous inconsistencies in their stories and believes the murder was financially motivated.

Tia Young told CBS46 News in November of 2017 that she was dealing with many emotions and wasn't sure how she was going to make it without him.

"My heart just bleeds for my children as a mom, you know. I don't know how I'm going to do it by myself," Tia Young told CBS46 shortly after the shooting. "I heard two loud gunshots. I thought it was gunshots. I wasn't sure what it was. I said, 'Why?' He said just call 911. I said, 'What is it? Is somebody shot?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Who?' And he said, 'George.'"

Young was later pronounced dead at the scene.

He leaves behind three children.
