CNN — Viewers of "Chrisley Knows Best" know that Todd and Julie Chrisley do everything big.

The pair, who have been married since 1996, are in the news because they have been indicted on tax evasion and fraud charges.

The couple surrendered to authorities early Wednesday morning, a spokesman for the attorney's office told CNN.

Their USA Network reality series debuted in 2014.

Here's some of what we learned about the family from "Chrisley Knows Best":

A wealthy Southern family

The Chrisley family comes across as quite wealthy, with the patriarch billed as a real estate mogul.

The series has featured them enjoying designer clothes and beautiful homes in both Georgia and Tennessee.

Todd Chrisley can be... a lot

Todd Chrisley's behavior has caused his children to sometimes complain that he can be overbearing.

Viewers have watched him clash with his kids at times -- telling his daughter how to dress, for example.

According to Todd Chrisley, he hired an IT company to make sure he can monitor everything his children and his grandchildren do in the house.

"Find your friends at school," he has said. "I'm your daddy."

Julie Chrisley is a breast cancer survivor

During Season 5, the family celebrated Julie Chrisley's five-year anniversary of being in remission from breast cancer.

She was diagnosed in 2012 and shared during an appearance on the talk show "Pickler & Ben" that she had her husband to thank, in part, for the discovery.

"Todd...had two male friends who were battling different cancers," she said. "One morning I was getting in the shower, we were in the bathroom and he was like, 'You need to have a mammogram."

The children are as famous as their parents

Viewers have pretty much watched the Chrisley children -- and the grandchildren -- age on television.

Kyle Chrisley, Lindsie, Chase, Savannah and Grayson have all appeared on the show over the years.

Todd Chrisley isn't bothered by questions about his sexuality

In 2017, Todd Chrisley addressed speculation that he's gay.

He said during a radio interview on "The Domenick Nati Show" that he is "flattered that people think I can get laid on both ends."

"In order for it to disappoint me, it would mean that I don't agree with someone being gay," Chrisley said on the radio program, "I don't believe that's a choice that you make. I believe that you are the way that God has made you."

"And my wife certainly is flattered that as many men want her husband as there are women," Chrisley added. "With that being said, I'm never going to have a drought."
