Have you ever had food poisoning? The official name for a common form of it is norovirus! The stomach virus causes severe vomiting and diarrhea. But health experts say most people who experience symptoms of food-borne illness never realize the illness may have been brought on by contaminated food. Instead, they say whatever they ate simply "didn't agree with" them.

So what are the riskiest foods for contracting a food-borne illness? Here's a hint: it starts with the letter "P." But surprise, surprise, it's NOT poultry!

According to the Center For Science in the Public Interest, the riskiest category of products is PRODUCE! More than 35,000 illnesses were reported between 1990 and 2006! Poultry is next, but with half the reported cases(18,906). Beef rounds out the top 3 with just more than 14,000 cases.(14,191) That means there were more problems with PRODUCE than with poultry and beef COMBINED!
