West Johnston High School teacher arrested, charged with sexual abuse of a student
A West Johnston High School teacher has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse of a student, according to court records.

According to North Carolina's court calendar, 37-year-old Amanda Doll is charged with statutory rape of a child under 15, sex acts with a student and indecent liberties with a child.
It is unknown at this time if the charges are connected to the same child.
Johnston County Public Schools told WRAL News that Doll was an English teacher at West Johnston High from August of 2021 until Friday, which was also the day of her arrest. Before being hired as an English teacher, Doll was a substitute teacher for six months.
A newsletter posted by West Johnston High said Doll was nominated as teacher of the year last year.
As of Monday morning, Doll was still in custody. Doll is expected to be in court Tuesday.
