Wegmans recalls Valencia oranges, lemons and prepared foods due to possible Listeria
Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has announced a recall of various Valencia oranges and lemons as well as multiple prepared products (seafood, chicken, pizza) made with lemons due to possible Listeria contamination.

The recalled products were sold in Wegmans stores in North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Brooklyn and Harrison, NY.
Affected produce items, sold between July 31 and August 7, 2020, include:
* Wegmans 4lb Bag Valencia Oranges – UPC: 7789052363
* Wegmans 2lb Bag Lemons – UPC: 7789015917
* Wegmans bulk lemons – UPC: 4033
In addition, over 20 in-store produced seafood, chicken and pizza prepared food items are also included.
No illnesses associated with this recall have been reported to Wegmans or its supplier at the time of the recall notice.
Freshouse Produce LLC of Salisbury, NC, supplies the lemons and oranges to Wegmans. They issued a voluntary recall after internal testing identified Listeria monocytogenes on a piece of equipment in one of its packing facilities.
Wegmans also shared that they have placed automated phone calls to customers who purchased these products using Shoppers Club alerting them to the recall.
