Wegmans grocery store possibly coming to Cary

CARY, N.C. — Wegmans Food Markets, the No. 1-ranked grocery store by Consumer Reports, is in lease negotiations for a store across from Cary Towne Center.

The family-owned, Rochester, N.Y.-based chain has 88 stores in New York, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

A statement from spokeswoman Jo Natale indicates, "We have signed a letter of intent and are working through lease negotiations with Columbia Development Group, with hopes of reaching a final lease agreement sometime during the first quarter of 2016.”

*Wegmans accepts both Manufacturer's and Wegmans store coupons.

*Wegmans doubles manufacturers' coupons that have a face value of $.99 or less.

*Four manufacturers' coupons will be accepted on four of the same brand product per day.

*The value of the coupon may not exceed the retail price, including doubled coupons.

*You can use a manufacturers' coupon and a Shoppers Club discount or store coupon on the same item. You can't exceed the retail price when using both coupons.

*No printable free product manufacturers' coupons.

*They do not double manufacturers' coupons that state "do not double".

*They will not accept an Internet coupon that is over $4.99.

Wegmans also has a Shoppers Card reward card program and Shoppers Club apps.
