Rain leaving area, colder start to Sunday coming
Saturday began with a steady rainfall before the sun came out and the clouds began to roll away. Now we're looking ahead to a colder Sunday.
Posted — UpdatedThe temperatures stayed in the 60s during the day, including after the rain fell. As a cold front moves out of the area, we can expect a cold start to Sunday morning before it starts to warm up again.
"It's going to be a noticeably colder start to (Sunday) compared to where the mornings have been the last few days," meteorologist Zach Maloch said.
Sunday is shaping up to be a sunny day, at least, with highs in the low 50s. A secondary front will bring the cooler, drier air.
"I'm talking about plenty of sunshine. There will not be a cloud in the sky," Maloch said.
Monday will be mostly sunny and slightly warmer than Sunday, with highs in the mid 50s. Tuesday brings warmer temperatures and another chance for rain, with highs in the 60s. However, overnight lows will be chilly, possibly dipping into the low 30s.
The cooling trend continues Wednesday, with highs in the 40s and mostly clear skies.
However, Thursday begins to warm up again, reaching the mid 50s, and Friday will reach into the 60s again.
