RALEIGH, N.C. — It could be more difficult to get around downtown Raleigh this weekend as roads close for several events.
The Triangle Walk-Run for Autism, Oktoberfest and Artsplosure will impact drivers on Fayetteville Street and surrounding areas, like Morgan Street.

Closures for Artsplosure begin Friday at 6 a.m. for set-up for the large event. The festival runs Saturday and Sunday with an art market featuring 175 sellers, live music performances, free arts and crafts and one-of-a-kind art installations. Hundreds of people are expected to attend the festival, which is usually held in the spring. WRAL is a proud sponsor of Artsplosure.

The 23rd Annual Triangle Run/Walk for Autism will begin at Halifax Mall on Saturday at 9 a.m., closing some routes in the area. Oktoberfest begins Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dogwood on Glenwood Avenue with beer pong, games and live music.

On Hillsborough Street, a large crane will be delivered at 6 a.m. Friday for road work planned between North Dawson Street and South Harrington Street.

Digital signs will be up in downtown Raleigh warning drivers about the closures this weekend.
