Festivals

Wizard World (Benton Convention Center, 301 W 5th St, Winston-Salem) - Stars from "Gotham" and "Supernatural" will meet with fans at this pop culture and comic book convention this weekend in Winston Salem. In addition to O&A sessions, there will also be movie screenings, trivia and more fun.
NC Japan Summer Festival (N.C. State Fairgrounds Exposition Center, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - Enjoy authentic music, food and culture from Japan during this festival at the State Fairgrounds on Saturday.

Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo (Fayetteville Street, Raleigh) - This food truck rodeo starts at 3 p.m. Sunday on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. There will be a half-mile of food trucks and restaurants spread out over 11 city blocks.

Mary Chapin Carpenter (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W Morgan St, Durham) - The singer-songwriter plays Carolina Theatre on Friday night with special guest Emily Barker.
NCMA Outdoor Concert: Kishi Bashi and Jake Shimabukuro (NCMA, 2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - Cat’s Cradle and the NCMA present this show on Friday night. Kishi Bashi is an American singer and multi-instrumentalist, while Jake Shimabukuro is an American ukulele composer.
NCMA Outdoor Concert: Paris Combo (NCMA, 2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - Paris Combo is a French musical group fronted by Belle du Berry. The group is known for its mix of "gypsy jazz, cabaret, French pop and Latino and Middle Eastern rhythms," according to the NCMA website.
Patchwork Market (Durham Armory, 220 Foster St., Durham) - This monthly vintage market featuring local makers is Sunday at The Durham Armory.
Summer Pop-up Market (Pine and Poplar, 307 S. Roxboro St., Durham) - Pine & Poplar in Durham will host this summer market featuring talented local craftmakers, curated food and beverage vendors, tarot card reading and more on Saturday.
Swingers (Ponysaurus, 219 Hood St., Durham) - Enjoy a screening of this film on the Ponysaurus patio on Sunday. There will also be $1 snacks!
Chair auction
Painted Chair Auction (The Levin JCC, 1937 West Cornwallis Road, Durham) - This event will include silent and live auctions, live music and more on Saturday. Proceeds go to support animals in need.
