RALEIGH, N.C. — Here are our picks for this holiday weekend:
Watch Carolina Ballet's "The Nutcracker" on Christmas - On Christmas Night, Dec. 25, WRAL will broadcast an exclusive TV event: The Nutcracker, presented by PNC Bank and performed by the Carolina Ballet, the area's only professional ballet company.
Historic Oakwood Candlelight tour - The walking tour runs through Dec. 27 and features historic homes decorated for the holidays. It's free this year, but there is a suggested donation of $5.
Cook like the Pros: Holiday Edition - We have some fun recipes from local chefs that are perfect for the holidays!
Watch Theatre in the Park's A Christmas Carol - This year the holiday classic is going virtual! The performance was filmed last year at Durham Performing Arts Center for archival purposes, but came in handy this year when coronavirus concerns shut down local theaters. You can purchase a virtual ticket to get a streaming link that can be viewed at home. Tickets are available all month.
Go look at holiday lights
Map: Holiday light displays - WRAL viewers upload photos of their decorated homes and location so others can find them on our interactive map and enjoy them.
Walk through a 'winter wonderland' at American Tobacco Campus - The lights are shining bright in Durham for the holiday season.
11 spectacular Christmas light displays across the Triangle - The chill is in the air and the lights are about to be turned on at the region's biggest Christmas light displays. Well, many of them.
