Festivals

Thrive NC - This festival features talented local chefs including Vivian Howard and Ashley Christensen. Enjoy tasting events Thursday and Friday nights at City Market in downtown Raleigh. UPDATE: Tickets are sold out.

Triangle Craft Beer Fest - Head to WakeMed Soccer Park Saturday for this festival highlighting more than 30 local breweries. Each brewery will be pouring a beer you can't find anywhere else. There will also be food trucks and local vendors.
Ritmo Latino Festival - This free community festival is Saturday in Cary Town Hall. Enjoy the sizzling sounds, hot rhythms and delicious cuisines of Spain, Latin America and the Caribbean along with performances and a vendor market.

Friday Night on White - Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and head to Wake Forest on Friday night. Presented by White Street Brewing Co., Friday Night on White takes place along South White Street. There will be live music from Love Tribe.
Beer and Bark Bonanza - Cause for Paws of NC has teamed up with Raleigh's newest brewery, 1323 R&D, and Fuzzy's Empanadas for this spring fundraising festival on Saturday. There will be live music, local vendors, a silent auction and more fun at 1323 R&D starting at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

Downtown Cary Food and Flea - Check out this artisan and vintage market on Sunday. There will be live music, local arts, shopping, food trucks and craft beer.
Art in the Garden - This annual arts festival at the Raleigh Rose Garden on Saturday benefits Raleigh Little Theatre. Expect a jury-selected lineup of visual artists, food trucks and live entertainment.

Art, magic and music

Kat Williams - The veteran comedian, actor and social activist returns to the stage with his 2018 national comedy tour, “Katt Williams: 11:11 RNS World Tour.” In this new arena tour, Williams is recharged and armed with a variety of engaging material that will have audiences bursting with laughter and continuing the conversation long after the lights come down. See him Saturday at PNC Arena.
Colin Cloud - The Deductionist in The Illusionists
The Illusionists - Live from Broadway, this mind-blowing show features some of the world's best illusionists at Durham Performing Arts Center Friday and Saturday.
Light the Woods with Sounds - Head to Dix Park on Friday for a first-of-its-kind sound and light show in the beautiful oak trees. Local visual and neon artist Nate Scheafer created 384 neon light tubes which will hang in the trees. Connected to a theremin, an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact, artists will perform songs and musical interpretations that will "Light The Woods with Sound." Each night will feature different performers, different musical themes and different experiences - no two nights will be the same! Things kick off on Friday. This event is free, but people are encouraged to register if they plan to attend.

Maze featuring Frankie Beverly - For nearly 40 years, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly has been one of the most influential groups in modern music history. North Carolina’s own Jus Once Band will open for Maze. See them Sunday at DPAC.
Cupcakes and Wine Flights - Head to Chatham Hill Winery this weekend for these flights ($30 each) featuring Queen Street Cakes and wine.

2nd Friday ArtWalk - Experience the creative arts scene in Chapel Hill and Carrboro on Friday night. Participating will have live music, food, activities, hands-on art demonstrations, discounts and more.


NC Symphony with Kruger Brothers - The Kruger Brothers will join the symphony to explore a fusion of folk, bluegrass, jazz and classical music Friday and Saturday nights at Meymandi Concert Hall.
Kenny Chesney - No shoes, no shirt, no problem! The country superstar will play Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek on Saturday.
