RALEIGH, N.C. — It's a big weekend for festivals -- and food -- in the Triangle!

Benefits

Carolina on My Mind benefit concert and Sir Walter Smoke-Off (Dix Park, 2105 Umstead Drive, Raleigh) - The Carolina Cavalry, a grassroots disaster relief and supply chain organization, is presenting this concert and barbecue competition on Saturday at Dix Park to help raise money for hurricane relief.

Come Together for the Coast (The Dillon, 401 W. Hargett St., Raleigh) - The Sunday Supper has teamed up with Chef Scott Crawford of Crawford and Son on relief events to benefit the small businesses so vital to North Carolina’s hospitality industry and thriving economy. Sunday is the first of two dinners featuring area chefs. It will be held at The Dillon in downtown Raleigh. There will also be live music.

For foodies

Brunch Festival (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - This all-you-care-to-taste event is Saturday at Booth Amphitheatre. There will be brunch offerings from more than 15 Triangle area restaurants and a Bloody Mary bar.
Jazz Brunch
A Tasteful Affair (Kenan Stadium, 104 Stadium Dr, Chapel Hill) - This 28th annual fundraiser will include cuisine from area restaurants, live music, a silent auction and more on Sunday. Funds will support the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill.
BBQ and Friends (TROSA, 1820 James St, Durham) - Enjoy a selection of food from more than a dozen Triangle chefs on Sunday. There will also be live music by bluegrass Americana folk group Up Cane Creek. All proceeds benefit TROSA's comprehensive recovery services.
Chapel Hill Festifall
Festifall (Downtown Chapel Hill, West Franklin Street) - Head to Chapel Hill on Sunday for this annual celebration of the arts. A variety of performing arts and vibrant market shops of handmade artworks present a day of discovery for the festival's attendees as they engage with the local art community.
Beer and Nut Butter (Durty Bull Brewing, 206 Broadway St, Durham) - Durty Bull Brewing will host this pairing event on Saturday. Enjoy flights paired with Big Spoon Roasters Nut Butters.

Porkapalooza (The Root Cellar, 35 Suttles Road, Pittsboro) - The Root Cellar is hosting this event on Saturday at its Pittsboro location in Penguin Place. In its 7th year, the event will include small plate creations, featuring locally raised pork from Hickory Nut Gap and Sharp Family Farms, served casually indoors and outdoors, rather than a traditional seated dinner.
Raleigh Festa Italiana (Tucker Street off of Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh) - On Sunday, head to Tucker Street for food, arts and music. Proceeds from this event will benefit Spare Some for Autism, a local non-profit organization that strives to improve the life of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

North Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo (Lifepointe Church, 9500 Durant Rd., Raleigh) - This rodeo will include nine trucks, inflatables, giveaways and more on Saturday.

On stage

The Naked Magicians (Durham Performing Arts Center, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - This show features magic, mirth and more than a touch of mayhem as these two hot and hilarious Aussie magicians say abracadabra and take magic to a whole new level. See them Friday and Saturday at Durham Performing Arts Center.

Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert (Meymandi Concert Hall, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - Experience Star Wars like never before as the North Carolina Symphony performs the heart-thumping John Williams score live Friday through Sunday in Meymandi Concert Hall.
Eyes Up Here Comedy (Neptunes, 14 W Martin Street, Raleigh) - Enjoy a night of great comedy Friday night at Neptunes.
Capitol Steps (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham) - The comedy troupe brings its new show, Make American Grin Again, to Carolina Theatre of Durham on Saturday.

Upright Citizens Brigade (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W Morgan St, Durham) - The touring troupe of the famous improve group will bring its show to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on Friday night. This is a 90-minute, unscripted and totally improvised performance.

Festivals and markets

Shakori Hills GrassRoots Music Festival (1439 Henderson Tanyard Rd, Pittsboro) - Starting Thursday, this festival includes more than 50 performers over four days.
          Festival goers learning to juggle, and hula hooping during performances.
Shopping Fall Sip and Shop (Woofinwaggle, 8471 Garvey Drive, Raleigh) - Get some new products for yourself and your pet at this event on Sunday. Enjoy beer from Durty Bull Brewing Company while you browse, meet artists and more. This event benefits Carolina Poodle Rescue and Carolina Boxer Rescue.
Fall Shopping and Giving Event (Carolina Brewing Company, 140 Thomas Mill Rd, Holly Springs) - Carolina Brewing Company is holding this event on Sunday. There will be live music, food trucks and local vendors. The event is also a fundraiser for Zach's Toy Chest, which provides toys for children who are fighting cancer. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event.
Patchwork Market (Fullsteam Brewery, 726 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - This monthly vintage market features local vendors and makers. Check it out on Saturday at Fullsteam Brewery.
