July 7: TayTay Party - Enjoy a Taylor Swift dance party at Lincoln Theatre.
July 7: Theatre Raleigh's In Concert Series: Rachel Bay Jones - Rachel Bay Jones is best known for originating the role of ‘Heidi Hansen’ in the Original Broadway Cast of Dear Evan Hansen. See her on stage at Theatre Raleigh.
July 7: PLAYlist Concert Series: Rissi Palmer - See this singer-songwriter at Durham Central Park.
July 7: Music in the Park - Head to Morrisville for a free concert at the Morrisville Healthy Food Hub, 280 Town Hall Drive, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket for a fun and relaxing evening.On July 7, the band will be the Glen Ingram All Stars. The Tasty Turkey Que will sell food and refreshments.
July 8: Theatre Raleigh's In Concert Series: Al Strong Quartet - Al Strong and his dynamic band bring a healthy dose of his latest release "Love Stronger" to the Theatre Raleigh Arts Center, covering what might be termed as the diaspora of jazz's great diversity of styles and emotions.
July 8: Tears For Fears & Cold War Kids: The Tipping Point World Tour - English duo Tears for Fears and Cold War Kids will play Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek.
July 8: Summerfest: Tango Caliente - The North Carolina Symphony welcomes singer Camille Zamora and award-winning Argentine dancers for a night of tango classics at Booth Amphitheatre.
July 8: Rock the Park Concert: Dale Kimber & Kompany (Jazz/Pop/R&B Cover Band) - Enjoy this free outdoor concert at Rock Quarry Park.
July 9 - Summer Concert Series - Head to Pullen Park in Raleigh this Sunday for a free concert by Tune Swingers. The concert starts at 6:00 p.m.

Food, shopping and comedy

July 7: First Friday Market and Movie Night - Head to Moore Square for this monthly event featuring food trucks, a local market, free games and live music from Moonlight Theatre Company. Starting at 7:30 p.m. there will be a free screening of "Men in the Black."
July 8: Red Hot Summer Cookout - Featuring live music from Shirlette Ammons, Spider Bags and Jooselord, this event will include Bull City Dawgz turkey, beef and vegan hot dogs.
July 8 and 9: John Oliver - The Emmy and Writer’s Guild Award-winning writer and comedian is the host and producer of the HBO show, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. See him on stage July 8 and 9 at DPAC.
July 8: Raleigh Brewing's Summer Party - To celebrate the release of the brewery's Tiny Umbrella Tropical Blonde Ale, they will be hosting a summer party with live music from The Ridge Band and yard games.
July 8: Geek and Grub Market (Super Hero Edition) - Come forget about real life for a few hours at the special super hero edition of the Geek & Grub Market! Dress up in your favorite superhero attire and enjoy fun comic book themed competitions and activities. This market is being held from 6 to 10 p.m. at Fred Fletcher Park.

July 8: Stuffed Animal Library Sleepover - Drop off you stuffed animal for a night of adventures at the West Regional library in Cary! You can pick up your stuffed animal on Sunday, July 9th any time between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.
July 8: Sensory Friendly Movie Series - The Carolina Theatre in Durham is hosting a new movie series that provides an environment that is accessible, welcoming, and comfortable for individuals on the spectrum. Lights will remain slightly up and the sound will be turned down. This weekend will feature the film Inside Out.
July 9 - Mad Science Family Series - Learn how the science behind engineering, technology and conservation are keys to coming together! Leave inspired to work together with science and beyond! Space is limited so arrive early at the North Regional Library in Raleigh to pick up your free tickets at the Youth Services desk.
July 9: Movies at the Library - Enjoy a free screening of Iron Man 2 at the North Regional Library in Raleigh Sunday afternoon. Or head to the Duraleigh Road Community Library for a free screening of Monsters Inc.
July 9: Yasu Ishida - Check out how this artist mixes magic, storytelling and origami into one amazing show at the Cary Regional Library.
