RALEIGH, N.C. — This weekend celebrate Juneteenth and Father's Day!
Capital City Juneteenth Celebration (Dorothea Dix Park - Harvey Hill, 693 Palmer Drive, Raleigh) - Juneteenth (June 19th) is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the abolition of slavery in the United States. As part of the Capital City Juneteenth Celebration 2021, enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and food on Harvey Hill at Dix Park on Saturday. This is a free event, however free tickets are required to enter the performances. You can also watch performances via a livestream online.
Juneteenth Motorcade (Chapel Hill and Carrboro) - Share the spirit of Juneteenth by decking out your car and joining others for a drive through some of Chapel Hill and Carrboro's historic Black communities on Saturday, June 19 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be two routes to take.
Juneteenth Cultural Celebration (New Home and Durham Missionary Baptist Association, 6611 Guess Road, Durham) - Bring your family, friends and a lawn chair and come enjoy some great entertainment and purchase food and products from various vendors and celebrate Juneteenth from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in Durham. Admission is free.
301 Endless Yard Sale (Hwy 301, Kenly) - Patterned after the long established 127 Longest Sale and inspired by the HGTV television show "Flea Market Flip," the communities along US 301 will join together with deals, antiques, collectibles and more along a 100-mile stretch of highway between Kenly and Benson in Johnston County. The sale will also have sites in Halifax, Wilson, Nash and Harnett Counties. The sale runs all day Friday and Saturday.

Triangle Pop-Up Market (Boxyard RTP, 900 Park Offices Drive, Durham) - Enjoy shopping local vendors at this pop-up market this weekend. This market will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Boxyard RTP.

Dine Out Downtown (Downtown Raleigh) - Enjoy dinner from your favorite Downtown Raleigh restaurants as you dine outdoors on closed streets and listen to live music by local musicians. Streets will be closed and tables and chairs will be provided for safe, extended outdoor dining on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the City Market.

A Comedy Affair at The Cotton Company (The Cotton Company, 306 S. White St., Wake Forest) - Enjoy some comedy from Ben Jones and others on Friday night at The Cotton Company in Wake Forest.

Always A Bridesmaid: A Jones Hope Wooten Comedy (Theatre in the Park, 107 Pullen Rd., Raleigh) - Theatre in the Park presents this comedy about four friends who have sworn to keep the promise they made on the night of their Senior Prom: to be in each other's weddings...no matter what. The show runs Thursday through Sunday.

Civil Rights History Walking Tour: Downtown Durham ("Major" the Bull Sculpture, 211 W. Parrish St., Durham) - Preservation Durham's downtown Civil Rights and Black Wall Street history walking tour will be held Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

Pop-Up Raleigh Art and Vintage Market (Trophy Brewing and Taproom (Maywood), 656 Maywood Avenue, Raleigh) - Pop-Up Raleigh is downtown Raleigh's original monthly artisan market. It takes place Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Trophy Brewing and Taproom on Maywood Avenue.

PineCone's Lakeside Bluegrass Series featuring Songs from the Road Band (Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - Enjoy some bluegrass from Songs from the Road Band at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Sunday evening.

Father's Day Pop-Up: Wander Market w/ Food & Flea Productions & Oaklyn Springs Brewery (Oaklyn Springs Brewery, 2912 N Main St Ste 100, Fuquay-Varina) - This pop-up market will be held at Oaklyn Springs Brewery in Fuquay-Varina on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be local vendors, live music, craft beer and the Wandering Moose food truck.
