Lots coming up this weekend including some festivals, Kentucky Derby watch parties and Star Wars night at the Bulls.

RALEIGH, N.C. — There is a lot coming up this weekend, including some festivals, Kentucky Derby watch parties and Star Wars night at the Bulls.

Festivals

39th Annual Apex PeakFest (Historic Downtown Apex, N Salem St & Center St, Apex) - Head to Salem Street in downtown Apex for this annual festival on Saturday. There will be live music, arts vendors, entertainment for the children and more fun.
Fest in the West (USA Baseball National Training Complex, 200 Brooks Park Lane, Cary) - This 4th annual festival will feature an arts and crafts village, pie eating contests and more fun on Saturday.
Smithfield Ham and Yam Festival (Downtown Smithfield, 119 N. Third Street, Smithfield) - The Original Drifters will headline this 35th annual festival on Saturday. There will be music on three stages, carnival rides and pig races.
The goat races are a popular spectacle at the Hogway Raceway event at the annual Ham and Yam Festival in Smithfield, May 1-2, 2010.
Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance (Shakori Hills Community Arts Center, 1439 Henderson Tanyard Rd., Pittsboro) - This 17th annual festival kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday in Pittsboro.
Out! Raleigh 2019 (Downtown Raleigh) - This ninth annual festival will help raise money for the LGBT Center of Raleigh and its more than 28 programs. This year's festival includes live entertainment such as DJ Pancakes, High Bushy Tails, Posh Hammer, Sampson, Alise King, Common Woman Chorus, She Returns From War and the Triangle Pride Band. The festival runs Saturday 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
5th Annual Midtown Music Fest (Midtown Park, 4011 Cardinal at North Hills St., Raleigh) - Enjoy an afternoon of live music, performances and more fun at this event at Midtown Park in Raleigh on Saturday.
Tasty funnel cakes are a popular favorite at the annual Ham and Yam Festival in Smithfield, May 1-2, 2010.
Meet in the Street Festival(Downtown Wake Forest, South White St., Wake Forest) - Wake Forest's annual arts and crafts festival is Saturday. There will be a full day of family fun, including food trucks, live music, magic and BMX Stunt shows.
Durham Greek Festival (St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 8306 N.C. Highway 751, Durham) - Experience the flavors, sounds, and traditions of Greece on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy delicious Greek food and pastries, traditional music, folk dance performances, shopping, video travelogues of Greece, church tours and more.

Derby Fun

2019 Portofino Derby Classic (Portofino Equestrian Center, 213 Portofino Drive, Clayton) - Head to Clayton for this Kentucky Derby watch party on Saturday. This fun-filled afternoon includes hat and family derby outfit contests and racing.
Derby Day Viewing + Special Brews (Big Boss Brewing Company, 1249 Wicker Drive, Raleigh) - Big Boss Brewing hosts this Kentucky Derby watch party on Saturday featuring hat contests, special beers and games.
Portofino Equestrian Club hosted a Kentucky Derby Party on May 5, 2018.
The Derby Goes to the Dogs (Lonerider Brewing Company, 8816 Gulf Ct, Raleigh) - Lonerider and the Carolina Boxer Rescue are teaming up for this Derby watch party on Saturday. There will be food trucks and derby hat contests.
Kentucky Derby Party (Little City Brewing & Provisions Company, 400 South West Street, Raleigh) - Head to Little City Brewing for this Kentucky Derby watch party on Saturday. There will be prizes for best hat and best seersucker suit.
Kentucky Derby watch party (The London Bridge Pub, 110 E Hargett St, Raleigh) - London Bridge Pub hosts this viewing party on Saturday.
Kentucky Derby Run for the Roses Party (Crossroads Chapel Hill, 211 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill) - Crossroads Chapel Hill at The Carolina Inn is hosting this derby watch party on Saturday.

Star Wars, beer and more fun

CANCELED: Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo (Fayetteville Street, Raleigh) - This event has been canceled because of inclement weather.
Durham Bulls: Star Wars Night (Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell St., Durham) - The Durham Bulls celebrate Star Wars Night on Saturday with special guests and more fun.

Gizmo Brew Works 6th Anniversary Party (Gizmo Brew Works, 5907 Triangle Drive, Raleigh) - Gizmo Brew Works is celebrating its 6th anniversary on Saturday with a party including special beer releases and food trucks.

Locally Made Market (The Mayton Inn , 301 South Academy Street, Cary) - This local market is Saturday at The Mayton Inn. There will be 35 local artisans, giveaways and more fun.

Take CF Away Cycle & 5K (Downtown Pittsboro, 40 E. Chatham St, Pittsboro) - Enjoy this 5k and cycling event Saturday morning in downtown Pittsboro. Proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
