RALEIGH, N.C. — Not too many events going on this weekend because everyone is gearing up for a busy New Year's Eve on Monday. Here are some of our picks for the final weekend of 2018:

The Harlem Globetrotters (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Rd., Raleigh) - The Original Harlem Globetrotters are on the road for their action packed tour. This is a great family-friendly pick for the weekend! See them Sunday at PNC Arena.

Ken Jeong (Raleigh Improv, 1224 Parkside Main Street, Cary) - The "Hangover" star plays four sold out shows this weekend at the newly open Raleigh Improv.

Alonzo Bodden (Goodnights Comedy Club, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - The NBC "Last Comic Standing" season three winner takes the stage at Goodnights Friday through Sunday.

Cary Kwanzaa (Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave., Raleigh) - This annual celebration is Friday at the Cary Arts Center. The theme for this year's celebration is "Working to Create a Kinder and Gentler World" and will feature performances by Bradley Simmons Musical Director at Duke University in Durham and fashion model Phylicia Nicole Barker.

6th Annual Kings Dog Show (Kings, 14 W Martin St., Raleigh) - This annual dog show is Saturday at Kings in downtown Raleigh. This just-for-fun competition will include 15 dogs competing for prizes and goodies. Admission is $10 cash at the door. Proceeds go to the SPCA of Wake County.
This yellow Labrador from Goldsboro made the first cut in the breed competition at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show but didn't place.

Dancing with the Stars (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - See some of the stars of this popular show at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium on Friday night. Dancers are expected to include Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Alan Bersten, Jenna Johnson, Brandon Armstrong and celebrity guest Milo Manheim.

Carolina Ballet's The Nutcracker (DPAC, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - This holiday classic plays Durham Performing Arts Center Saturday and Sunday. Featuring a live symphony orchestra, grand magical illusions, and magnificent sets and costumes, it’s not to be missed.

Finally Friday: Wall-E (NC Museum of Natural Sciences, 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh) - The museum is celebrating the 10th anniversary of "Wall-E" with a screening and a visit from a NASA Jet Propulsion Lab Solar System Ambassador on Friday.
