RALEIGH, N.C. — While many New Year's Eve events are canceled this year, you can still celebrate at home or stay safe out and about with our picks.
First Night Raleigh at WRAL Nights of Lights - The traditional First Night Raleigh New Year's Eve celebration was canceled this year due to COVID-19 concerns, but there will still be lots of First Night fun at WRAL Nights of Lights drive-thru light show at Dorothea Dix Park.
And if you want to stay home, you can watch WRAL's First Night fun during an extended 11 p.m. newscast Thursday night.
Downtown Raleigh: Illuminate Art Walk - This self-guided art walk runs through Jan. 8 and includes light-based art throughout downtown.
See Chinese lanterns in Cary - Head to downtown Cary through Jan. 10 to enjoy some beautiful lighted sculptures.
