RALEIGH, N.C. — This is a big weekend in the Triangle! These outdoor-centered events are the perfect way to celebrate spring.

Festivals

Brewgaloo - The craft beer festival kicks off Friday night with a block party in City Plaza in downtown Raleigh. There will be several beers that you won't see at Saturday's event. The main event on Saturday kicks off at 2 p.m. on Fayetteville St. and includes more than 100 North Carolina breweries and over 50 food trucks.
Fayetteville Dogwood Festival - Head to downtown Fayetteville for this annual festival starting Thursday. There will be live music, carnival rides, a classic car show, a street fair and more fun. Musical headliners include Rodney Atkins, Coolio, Rob Base, Young MC, Jackyl and Zoso. The festival runs through Sunday.
Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival


Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival - Cary will host this 25th annual event at Bond Park on Saturday. There will more than 170 North Carolina artists, entertainment on five stages, delicious festival food, a wellness challenge and Cary's annual Earth Day Celebration.

Food and fun

Brewery Bhavana - The dim sum restaurant, flower shop, brewery and book store will celebrate its first anniversary on Sunday with a party starting at noon. There will be live music, special beer releases and more.
Sunday Supper Durham


Sunday Supper Durham - Head to American Tobacco Campus on Sunday starting at noon for this event featuring food vendors, live music and a large community table seating 750 people. The event will help support the Durham Community Food Pantry and End Hunger Durham.

Chocolate Extravaganza - Southern Season in Chapel Hill will be celebrating everything chocolate on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The event will include more than 10 of the finest chocolatiers and tastings and an array of truffles, chocolate bars, candy and toffee.
Wine Sundae Weekend - Chatham Hill Winery will be pairing its Sweet Carolina wines over ice cream this weekend.

Cary Downtown Dine Around - Help celebrate Cary's new restaurants and old favorites this weekend. Similar to Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week, there will be special menus at participating locations.


Goodguys Car Show - Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is bringing its hot rod & custom car event to NC State Fairgrounds this weekend.

Get moving and help others

KARE Scavenger Hunt - Teams of two will race to 10 locations throughout Durham and take selfies before heading to Bull McCabe's on Saturday during this event. Proceeds will benefit the NC Chapter National Alliance for Law Enforcement Support KARE (K9 Assistance, Recognition and Education).
Headbands for Hope Group Fitness Party


Headbands of Hope Group Fitness Class - Head to Raleigh Beer Garden for this workout on Saturday to benefit Headbands of Hope, which sells headbands to support cancer research for children. For $17 per person, guests get a 45 minute HIIT workout and 15 minute restoration workout class led by Raleigh Group Fitness, a bottle of NUD Vitamins, one LA Croix drink and a well-deserved post-workout beer or mimosa. Participants will also receive a headband with another headband to be donated to a child battling cancer.
12th annual Joey O Bocce Classic - Hundreds will gather to play bocce ball on Sunday in honor of Cary resident Joe O’Connell who lost his fight with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 32 in November 2009. The annual fundraiser, held by family and friends, serves to raise money to help find a cure for the disease and remember the life of O’Connell.

On stage

Nashville Songwriters - Head to DPAC on Friday to hear some of country’s biggest hits performed and the stories behind thrm. Proceeds will go to Kidznotes, The North Carolina Boy’s Academy and Voyager Academy Friends of the Arts.
Todd Rundgren's Utopia
Todd Rundgren's Utopia - Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Willie Wilcox (“Utopia”) and Ralph Schuckett (“Todd Rundgren’s Utopia”) are reuniting for their first North American tour. See them Sunday night at Carolina Theatre of Durham.
Carolina Ballet's Serenade - Serenade is the first original ballet George Balanchine created in America and it has not been performed by Carolina Ballet since 1998. See it Thursday through Sunday at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
