Wednesday Wrap: Governor uses four-letter word for budget
Gov. Roy Cooper pulled out his veto stamp Wednesday, rejecting the $23.9 billion budget state lawmakers approved last week.

The Senate easily passed legislation allowing the state treasurer to spend up to $300 million a year to handle more road construction projects and a proposal to overhaul some judicial districts.
The House approved a bill allowing four Charlotte suburbs to create their own charter schools, despite concerns of the new taxing authority the move would create, as well as a bill that would require schools to place all students who post superior scores on end-of-grade math tests in advanced math classes.
