It's Wednesday and if you are participating in our weight-loss challenge, that means it's time to jump on the scale and measure your progress. How did you do this week?

I lost 1pound this week for a total of 19.5 lbs. lost since the challenge started 9 weeks ago.  It was a busy, busy week with little time for exercise but I did manage to get in a few walks. Hoping for more exercise this week.  Didn't I say that last week, and the week before....? I'm still losing so I am happy with the 1 little pound.

If you are new to the Wednesday weigh-in, a number of us are doing a 25 lb. weight loss challenge. Even if you only have 5 or 10 lbs to lose or you have 50 lbs to lose, please join in! It's never too late to start taking better care of yourself.  As we all know, it's more frugal to be healthy than to deal with all the medical issues (and medical bills) associated with obesity.

I am not following any special plan that requires packaged (ie expensive) meals, calorie/point tracking or any other packaged weight loss program. I am just eating better and exercising more (or at least trying to!). Less food, higher quality food, more raw food, less processed food and more movement. It's a pretty basic formula and is working like a charm.

This week's goal: Get to the gym 2 times this week and walk 3 times in my neighborhood for a total of 5 days of exercise.  What are your goals for this week?

While playing Monopoly (actually, Oceanopoly) last night with my youngest, we had Biggest Loser on in the background. I was amazed that Hannah lost another 5 lbs last week. As small as she is now, that's really impressive. I wonder what she is really eating during the week.  I also wonder how many hours she works out per day.  Did anyone else watch the show?

Let's hear it - what did the scale tell you this morning?
