I want to thank Greg for bringing science into his weather forecasts and sharing it with us.

I teach air conditioning and psychrometrics for the Mech Engr Dept at NC State and I use Greg's weather forecasts and rules of thumbs all of the time. Maybe I'm just another geek, but I enjoy when he explains what's going on, rather than just telling me the forecast.

I also appreciate it when he tells us that the forecast for a certain day is just a guess - it shows how much we have to learn and that it's as much an art as a science.

Greg has changed how the weather is done here in the Triangle (for the better, of course)!
