Coastal Carolina shelter information

Several shelters have opened as a result of flooding.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The American Red Cross has opened shelters in parts of eastern North Carolina to accommodate residents displaced by flooding:
Bertie County

- Bertie Academy, 819 Governor’s Road, Windsor

Beaufort County
- P.S. Jones Middle School – 4105 N. Market Street Extension, Washington

Craven County:
- Havelock High School – 101 Webb Blvd, Havelock

- West Craven Middle School – 515 Northwest Craven Middle School Road, New Bern

Jones County
- Jones County Civic Center – 832 Highway 58S, Trenton

Personal items to bring to the shelter should include any medicines needed by members of the family, feeding formulas and diapers for infants, a pillow and blanket for each member of the family, a change of clothing, and books and simple toys for your children.
