RALEIGH, N.C. — Rain drenched parts of the WRAL viewing area late Thursday, but the wet weather will be gone Friday and Saturday. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday.

Friday will be mostly sunny and less humid with temperatures in the low to mid 90s.

"It will be hotter than what we had across the state yesterday, but you will likely notice a less humid feel. This less humid feel will be even more noticeable on Saturday," WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

Friday night will be mostly clear and mild with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.

"We may see some low clouds and fog to start the day on Saturday, but all in all it should be a quiet overnight," Gardner said.

Saturday's heat may be offset by the drier air, which will reside across the area.
