Raleigh, N.C. — Thunderstorms moved across the Triangle late Monday bringing heavy rain.
"We had a stationary boundary off to the West, and the atmosphere kicked up. We then saw these storms form," WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said.
Close to 3 inches of rain fell in parts of Wake County when the storm moved through just after 8 p.m., Maze said.
Tuesday does not expect to bring rain, but storms could pop up Wednesday. Tuesday will be sunny, with temperatures up to the mid 90s.
