— Storms, some severe, dropped rain and hail Tuesday over central North Carolina.

There were reports of golf-ball sized hail and wind damage, including down trees and power lines, in Johnston County Tuesday afternoon.

Partly cloudy skies are expected Wednesday with a slim chance of an isolated afternoon storm.

The chance of rain will significantly increase on Thursday.
