Raleigh, N.C. — Scattered showers moved across central North Carolina Thursday evening.
There is a small chance that some of these storms could become severe with strong winds and lightning, WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said.
After highs in the mid-80s, temperatures should drop to the mid to upper 60s Thursday night.
Another round of afternoon and evening storms is possible Friday. Once a cold front moves out Friday night, it should be dry Saturday.
On Sunday, another system moving through the area will bring a small chance of thunderstorms.
