RALEIGH, N.C. — Clouds and cooler temperatures will return to the Triangle Thursday as the spring roller coaster continues.

“It’s a very active weather week for us,” WRAL Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

Overnight, the lows could dip to the low-40s as moisture and clouds build. Look for a light rain for the morning commute that could linger throughout the day. Temperatures will probably not get out of the 50s.

Friday will be cloudy as well, with winds, warmer temperatures and the chance for thunderstorms.

Even the weekend does not bring relief from the wet weather. A round of showers and thunderstorms is expected to accompany a front on Saturday. Sunday temperatures take a cooler turn again.
